Job Duties
Position provides support to the mission of the facility by transporting clients in compliance with Departmental and facility procedures. Transports supervisees to and from community work placements and supports other transportation needs of the facility. Provides direct supervision of adult supervisees at this facility during transportation activities. Provides security, custody, control, and direct supervision of adult clients in such a manner that enhances the safe and secure environment of the facility for staff, citizens of the Commonwealth and supervisees and enhances the overall program delivery.
This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12-month period of May 1 - April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License. Good driving record. Ability to work with staff and with adult Probationers. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, basic computer literacy. Ability to work independently within broad guidelines.
Additional Considerations
Previous experience driving fleet vehicles. CDL License P endorsement.
