Job Overview:
The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting daily HR operations and providing a wide range of human resources services to employees and management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple responsibilities, and has a strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations. This role offers the chance to work closely with leadership and make a significant impact on the organization's culture and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage day-to-day HR activities, including employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management.- Support recruitment efforts by collaborating with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews.- Oversee new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth transition for employees.- Manage employee benefits programs and serve as a point of contact for benefits-related questions and issues.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.- Assist with payroll processing and resolve employee payroll issues in coordination with the payroll department.- Provide support for employee performance reviews and development plans.- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to enhance the overall workplace experience.- Investigate and resolve employee complaints and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.- Work on HR projects and initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.- 2-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.- Solid understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and regulations (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, EEO, ADA, etc.).- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service orientation.- Proficiency in HR software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
