Position: Inventory Manager Contract to Hire Located in Cerritos Hours : 6 AM - 3 PM Job Overview LHH is seeking an Inventory Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the control and accuracy of all warehouse inventories, including production and spare parts, and managing related personnel. This role involves leading improvements in the central warehouse, receiving, outside processing, MRP, and streamlining inventory and logistics processes. The Inventory Manager will support inventory analysis for cycle counts, slow movers, obsolete items, and MRP data, including reorder points, safety stock, and lot sizes. This position requires active collaboration with Purchasing and Production to maintain proper and healthy stock levels. The ideal candidate will be a leader and facilitator who can influence and introduce new concepts and mindsets. Role and Responsibilities Lead a diverse team towards success, acting as a mentor and motivator, and leading by example. Responsible for the CA & NJ Inventory teams. Ensure overall inventory responsibility and accountability for CA & NJ, focusing on inventory control, accuracy, and organization. Oversee the preparation and supervision of yearly inventory in all warehouses. Lead improvements in the Central Warehouse, Feeding, and Kanban systems. Manage outside processing, improve inventory master data, processes, and ensure inventory accuracy. Control and resolve negatives, manage transfers between warehouses, inventory adjustments, and transfer loads to other plants. Reestablish cycle counts, perform counts, analyze results, and request adjustments. Roll out to NJ and act as the central support person. Implement new processes to reduce material handling, optimize flow, and increase control. Ensure all production lines have sufficient materials to avoid disruptions. Implement replenishment and feeding of production lines, picking, and packing materials according to production demands. Oversee outside processing, receiving, and shipment activities, including unloading, loading, labeling, and disposition. Improve Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and ensure the quality and update of all related master data (reorder points, safety stock, lot sizes, lead times, etc.). Analyze inventory (ABC, consumption, forecast, costing, make or buy, etc.), present results, make recommendations, and implement changes. Lead and participate in projects. Constantly seek new ideas and improvement opportunities. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, inventory, and/or production. Minimum of 2 years of experience with MRP, Excel, and other Microsoft tools. Experience with ERP systems such as SAGE, SAP, or Visual is considered a significant plus. Strong project management skills, with the ability to create and manage project plans, present ideas, calculate ROI, structure actions, and organize resources. Excellent coaching, listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong communication and teamwork spirit. Fluent in English; Spanish is highly welcomed.
