Position Overview: Boutique Texas Law Firm seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Associate to join our small but thriving law firm located in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation work. This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a close-knit, fun, friendly, and dynamic legal team and gain exposure to diverse legal practice areas. Responsibilities: Litigation Support: · Engage in the preparation and filing of legal documents for court proceedings, such as petitions, motions, and responses. · Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and other essential litigation materials. · Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the litigation process. · Communicate with clients regarding updates, requirements, payments, etc Attend Court proceedings. Legal Research: · Conduct comprehensive legal research using online resources, databases, artificial intelligence, and more to support case preparation and client matters. · Summarize and present legal findings to attorneys in a clear and concise manner. · Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations relevant to the firm's practice areas. Case Management: · Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management databases and calendars. · Monitor deadlines and ensure all necessary documents and filings are completed on time. Client Interaction: · Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, responding to inquiries and providing status updates as required. Requirements: · Education: Law Degree. Passed the Texas bar. Those who are waiting on bar exam results are encouraged to apply. · Legal Software Proficiency: Experience with legal research databases, case management software, and Microsoft Office suite. · Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other team members. · Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple cases and tasks efficiently. · Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in document review and preparation. · Team Player: A collaborative and flexible approach to work, willing to support colleagues when needed. · Ethics and Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards of ethics and maintain strict confidentiality regarding client matters. · Adaptability: Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of a small law firm and willingness to take on new challenges.
