Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,090 per week

Certification Details BLS ACLS Job Details Large Level 1 hospital in Mississippi needs RN's for General MedSurg Unit. Must have solid experience as an RN - 1 or more years level 1 trauma experience PREFERRED or experience at a Very large medical center with a lot of surgeries/high acuity patients. Must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes. EPIC CHARTING experience is required. Schedule Information 12 hours, 7a-7p or 7p-7a Travelers are expected to fill holes but managers will try to accommodate block scheduling as schedule allows Open to weekenders if traveler would like to work every weekend but that is not required Every other or 2 weekends per month is standard, could be higher to meet needs of department Rotate in with regular staff for holiday coverage Unit Specific Information Unit Med/Surg 6S General MedSurg Beds: 32 - Nurse:Patient Ratios: typical ratio for all medsurg units is 1:5 up to 1:6 at times Ratios would be adjusted down for higher acuity patients Are RNs required to titrate drips?: heparin, could have an order for amio and that can be started and then patient would be transferred to cardiac unit Charge Nurse/House Supervisor?: Both Managers are in house M-F business hours, starting at 3pm M-F and all weekend there is an adult house supervisor Educator and manager for each unit Additional Details 50 mile Radius Rule Fingerprint requirement - must be processed in Jackson or Grenada MS the week prior to start or allow 10-14 days for remote process Must be flexible with holiday RTO Manager will rotate coverage to ensure that everyone gets some time off if requested Familiarity with EPIC charting systems
