Responsibilities You will serve as the Web Manager and Designer of the US Navy’s official website and enterprise manager for Navy.mil, ensuring the websites comply with all policy requirements. You will maintain functionality and design that aligns with current web standards. You will serve as Content Manager posting and/or linking approved material to the website. You will liaise with service desk, migration, and development teams on the Navy’s behalf to address enterprise-wide public web issues. You will research and recommend new technologies to expand and enhance distribution of Navy web, print, video, new media and radio products. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience coding necessary to create programs and code for website's databases, server, and site performance - Experience directing the development of web-based solutions that communicate the Agency's missions and initiatives to the public. - Understanding of all applicable DON/DOD/OMB/GSA web policy and public law and maintaining websites with security and 508 compliance requirements - Experience developing, implementing and managing enterprise-wide digital technology plans and programs, including managing web development and design, editorial, information architecture, data transparency, social media and digital technologies in order to present Agency information to the public. - Experience with oral and written communication techniques to articulate findings, prepare reports and make recommendations to management, to effectively communicate proposals to partners across the organization. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
