Corporate Legal Secretary Location: Cerritos, CA Pay Rate and Benefits: $70,000 to $92,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc. Position Type: Full-time, Direct Hire, Onsite LHH has partnered with a large regional firm in seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support dynamic team in Cerritos, CA. In this role, you'll play a vital part in providing secretarial assistance to our attorneys, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication. Responsibilities: Compile and organize documents and exhibits for submissions to the Secretary of State, tax authorities, courts, and other government entities. Draft and finalize formation documents for corporations and LLCs, such as articles of incorporation/organization, bylaws, statements of information, EIN applications, and related filings. Assist with the preparation and completion of corporate minutes, legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda from written drafts or transcriptions. Coordinate and manage attorneys’ schedules, including tracking deadlines, arranging appointments, and planning meetings. Perform research and obtain documentation from public records and government agencies. Review and proofread documents to ensure accuracy, proper formatting, and compliance with Firm standards. Organize and maintain client files, ensuring records are up-to-date and accessible. Utilize office equipment such as transcription devices, scanners, photocopiers, and Microsoft Office Suite to complete tasks efficiently. Sort, prioritize, and distribute incoming mail and email correspondence. Qualifications: 4 years of substantive corporate/transactions experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with document management systems such as iManage. Ability to type 70 wpm. Professional communication skills (verbal, written, and telephone). Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Knowledge of corporate and transactional filing procedures. Ability to prepare and finalize legal and corporate documents. Experience with maintaining confidentiality and observing professional standards.
