EVENT COORDINATOR – Burbank, CA Full Time, Exempt SIGMA Corporation of America is a worldwide, privately held and family-owned manufacturer of photographic equipment looking for an experienced and dedicated Event Coordinator to join our growing marketing team. We're seeking a highly organized and creative Event Coordinator to bring our dynamic events to life Working with the event specialist you will play a key role in both the planning stages and day-of execution of SIGMA events which include national trade shows, dealer and showroom events. Your primary aim will be to ensure each element of the event aligns with the company’s vision and expectations. Ideal candidates should have a proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a proactive and friendly approach. This role demands creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering memorable experiences. This role will be based in our Burbank, CA office and reports to the Event Specialist. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the coordination of event operations to include logistics, venue selection, vendor management, staffing and onsite coordination. Develop and recommend budgets, marketing and merchandising plans, audio-video components, speaker and guest logistics, safety and security, participant services and other aspects of events. Build relationships with vendors and other business partners by researching and contracting with qualified, high-value service providers and nurturing partnerships with other organizations, businesses and dealers. Conceives of and assembles creative and innovative event themes and attractions to enhance event experiences and goals. Books and inspects banquet and catering functions, hotel accommodations, meeting facilities, and other spaces necessary for events. Administers other event department functions, such as budgeting, planning, purchasing, sales, marketing, scheduling, inventory, procurement, and overseeing vendor payments. Attend industry events and seminars and keep up with trends and best practices in the events planning industry. Oversee the scheduling and coordination of staff and volunteers for events. Handle any issues that arise promptly and professionally to ensure the event runs smoothly. Conduct post-event evaluations to identify areas for future improvement. Requirements Proven experience as an event coordinator or in a similar role is required. Certifications such as Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) will be advantageous. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with venues and vendors catered toward event planning. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Education A bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, communications, business, or related field. Experience in photography and/or cinematography preferred.
