Associate Attorney

Job description Christian Dichter & Sluga, P.C. is hiring for a litigation and/or insurance coverage attorney licensed in Arizona, New Mexico or Nevada to join its active practice based in Phoenix. The firm has a well-established record of representing clients in the areas of insurance defense, bad faith litigation, insurance coverage, white-collar criminal defense, commercial and business litigation, professional liability, and more. We are a growing practice, and this position will demand independence and self-motivation. A remote position or relocation assistance may be possible for the right candidate. Requirements: At least one year of civil litigation experience in public or private practice Currently licensed to practice law in Arizona (preferred), Nevada, or New Mexico with no bar complaints Proficient in Westlaw, Word, Excel, and Outlook Able to manage all phases of civil litigation from inception of case through settlement, mediation, or trial under the supervision of a partner. This includes, but is not limited to: Assessing new cases and assist in developing defense strategy Assisting the senior litigator in handling case from discovery through arbitration or trial Performing research of case law to develop defense theories Drafting and responding to pleadings and motions Preparing discovery requests and responses based on specific needs of each case Participating in depositions, mediations, arbitration, and trial. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have excellent research and writing skills, have at least some experience in one or more of the firm’s practice areas, and have at least some courtroom or deposition experience.
