Smith ​ Dykema, a leading national law firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Trial Paralegal to join our Product Liability and Class Action Litigation Group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex product liability and class action cases through all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and support. ​ Key Responsibilities: Assist attorneys with all aspects of case management and trial preparation, including document organization, witness preparation, and exhibit management Draft and file pleadings, discovery requests, responses, and other legal documents, including motions and subpoenas Organize and manage large volumes of documents, conduct substantive document reviews, and assist with e-discovery processes Coordinate with expert witnesses, clients, and vendors, as well as opposing counsel, during case preparation and trial Act as a key support member during trial, managing exhibits, logistics, and technology in the courtroom Perform legal research, assist in drafting case summaries, and maintain case-related databases Provide post-trial assistance, including preparing settlement documentation and organizing final case materials Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with legal procedures and court rules Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program 6 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on product liability and class action cases (automotive industry experience is a plus) Significant trial preparation and courtroom experience Proficiency in legal software and e-discovery tools (e.g., Lexis, Relativity, CaseMap, TrialDirector) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to travel and work extended hours during trial periods What We Offer: Compensation range: $95,000-$110,000 Competitive benefits package Opportunities for professional growth and development Collaborative and dynamic work environment
