Certification Details BLS ACLS NIHSS Job Details A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for Night PCU RN's. 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. 2 years of unit experience. Job Requirements 2 years of unit experience Schedule Information 12 hour shifts 36 hours guaranteed Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1830, 1830-0630 Weekend Requirements: Every third Holiday Requirements: Rotating with perm staff Unit Specific Information Department: PCU Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes, 1:12 Floating Requirements: Yes to MedSurg or to ICU to take PCU acuity patients Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy Blue How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 week Additional Details WILL NOT APPROVE BLOCKED SCHEDULING OR SAME SCHEDULE/SHIFTS, MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO FLOAT AND WORK WHEN NEEDED Overhead lifts in half the rooms, portable lifts, vein finders, bladder scanner Focus on patient experience scores, responsiveness, hospital environment, and communication about medications Different cultural populations are served on this unit- primarily Hispanic and Somalian Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
