Research And Development Specialist

Job Summary: Reporting to the VP of R&D the R&D Specialist will play a crucial role in driving innovation and ensuring product quality. You will be responsible for developing new product formulations, sourcing raw materials, and managing the entire product development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Formulation and Development: Develop and optimize product formulations to meet company, customer, and regulatory standards. Raw Material Management: Source, evaluate, and qualify new raw materials to ensure product quality and compliance. Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with the Quality Compliance team to ensure adherence to cGMP, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements. Product Launch: Coordinate with sales and operations teams to launch new products efficiently and on time. Technical Support: Provide technical support to sales teams and customers. Laboratory Work: Conduct laboratory experiments, pilot plant trials, and scale-up studies. Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Food Science highly preferred, BS Chemistry is also acceptable. Must have experience in Nutraceuticals. 3 years of experience in product development. Strong technical skills, including formulation, analytical techniques, and statistical analysis. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
