Senior Construction Manager | Global Project Execution International Assignment – Major Joint Venture Energy Project ENG Bauen is supporting a high-profile capital project for a leading energy organization, and we are actively seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to join their global project execution team. Role Overview: As the Senior Construction Manager, you will be at the forefront of a multi-billion-dollar investment, leading construction activities through all project phases. This pivotal role involves overseeing the EPCM partner, implementing the FEL (Front-End Loading) stage-gate model, and leveraging modular construction techniques to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety in project execution. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the construction teams, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and project controls to deliver the project to specification, on time, and within budget. With your expertise, you will establish and maintain project standards, guide EPCM partner operations, and foster effective communication with all project stakeholders. Responsibilities: Lead and manage all construction phases of a major CAPEX energy project, from initial planning to commissioning. Oversee and direct the EPCM partner, ensuring adherence to project goals, schedules, and cost requirements. Implement and monitor project strategies aligned with the FEL stage-gate model to optimize project planning and execution. Utilize modular construction methodologies to drive efficiency, improve scheduling, and maintain high-quality standards. Develop and enforce safety, quality, and environmental standards across construction activities, managing compliance with local regulations and industry best practices. Act as the main construction liaison with stakeholders, providing updates on progress, risks, and key project metrics. Candidate Profile: We are seeking a Senior Construction Manager with substantial international experience in managing large-scale modular construction projects within the downstream chemical, petrochemical, LNG, or oil and gas sectors. Qualifications: Minimum of 15 years of construction management experience, with a proven record in overseeing high-value, multi-billion-dollar projects. Hands-on experience with the FEL stage gate model and demonstrated expertise in managing modular construction techniques. Ability to manage EPCM contractors and coordinate large, multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, and construction functions. Strong track record of delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget while maintaining stringent safety and quality standards. Willingness to travel internationally to project sites and EPCM offices, particularly across Mainland Europe and the Far East.
