Senior Project Engineering Manager | Global Project Development & Execution International Assignment – Major Joint Venture Energy Project ENG Bauen has partnered with a leading energy operator who are in the early stages of a large-scale multi-year joint venture, involving major international stakeholders and partners from the across the key global energy hubs. As a result, the project is actively searching for a seasoned Senior Project Engineering Manager to join their global project execution team. Role Overview: As the Senior Project Engineering Manager, you will oversee the engineering scope of a multi-billion-dollar energy and petrochemical investment, guiding engineering activities from initial design through to execution. This leadership position is integral to project success and requires a deep understanding of engineering processes, project management, and team leadership within complex, high-value energy projects. Your primary responsibility will be to direct and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring alignment with project requirements and quality standards. You will play a key role in implementing engineering strategies, risk management, and interfacing with stakeholders to achieve project milestones on time and within budget. Responsibilities: Lead engineering activities for a large-scale CAPEX energy project, managing multidisciplinary teams across design, procurement, and construction phases. Drive alignment across engineering deliverables, ensuring all activities are conducted within project scope, schedule, and quality standards. Develop and manage engineering workflows, coordinating with project controls and execution teams to facilitate seamless project progress. Provide strategic oversight on technical specifications, resource planning, and risk management. Serve as the primary engineering point of contact with stakeholders, maintaining clear communication on project status and challenges. Candidate Profile: The successful candidate will have extensive international experience and a strong background in high-value engineering projects within the downstream chemical, petrochemical, LNG, or oil and gas sectors. Qualifications: 15 years of engineering management experience, with a proven track record in overseeing large, multi-disciplinary projects. Demonstrated experience in CAPEX projects with values exceeding $200 million. Strong leadership in coordinating and managing engineering deliverables across global teams, ensuring adherence to project specifications. Ability to manage project complexities and mitigate risks in alignment with project timelines and budget constraints. Willingness to travel internationally to project sites and EPCM offices, particularly in Mainland Europe and the Far East.
