Profiles will include location, number of beds, patient rations, and other unique details to assist recruiting professional in effectively and efficiently identifying highly qualified staff. Data Collection : Unit Information : LDRP Location: GEORGETOWN, TEXAS Building: St. David’s Georgetown Hospital Floor: 4 th Floor Order Detail: Facility Department Number: 70867 Discipline: “LDRP”- Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Special Care Nursery Quantity: 11PP/MB rooms, 12 LDR rooms, 2-bed triage, 2 OB EDs, 8-bed SCN, 1-bed Isolation Nursery, 2 on-call physician rooms, 1 on-call anesthesia room Target Start Date: Shift: Call Requirements : CNCs 1 weekend out of every 6 weeks, Manager/Director hold all other call dates. Staff RNs/CST/Unit Clerks are not responsible for call unless already scheduled for a shift and being put on call. Weekends: Rotating- Depends per schedule and per shift (roughly calculates out to every other weekend) General Information Tell us about the unit (s) : Number of Beds – 2 3 (1 2 labor and 1 1 Postpartum) Number of Staff – Roughly 59 (starting on January 7 th 2024) Type of staff : Day Shift – CNC/Charge, OP/NSY RN, 1-2 Postpartum RNs, 1-2 Labor RNs (numbers for labor and postpartum RNs may vary) Night Shift – Same as listed above, we flex off labor nurses as the shift goes on Patient Ratios – 1:2 at labor unless high risk, 1:4 couplets (8 patients individually) these are the MAX ratios we can have , ideally all couplets are 1:3 ratio Type of equipment – Alaris Pumps , Giraffe Warmers, GE Fetal Monitors , PCs in all rooms with dual monitors, EMR: GE Centricity/CPN & Meditech , US/TOCO Cords, Monica wireless monitoring, Giraffe Isolette EMR: GE Centricity/CPN & Meditech Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable ? (Y/N) – Yes for A shift RN, P shift RN, occasionally an open CST for A or P. We do not employ PCTs on our floor, but will look for RNs and CSTs when contract labor need arises. Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Labor or Postpartum Experience within the last year Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. LDRP Experience (mother/baby, postpartum, OR circulator (cesarean section), well-baby nursery and NICU or special care nursery preferred NRP/ACLS/BLS ( required) STABLE (optional) NICU or Transition/Baby Catching Experience (We have a special care NSY with plan to open Level II NICU in late 2024 List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Labor : cervical ripening, induction of labor (Pitocin), MgSO4, Insulin drip, high-risk/Level II Maternal patients followed by MFM Mother-Baby Care on Postpartum Infant/N SY Care (Special Care/Medium Risk) Level II NICU C-Sections & T ubal ligations; cerclage removals Care of fetal demise patients Best personality Fit: Positive & Friendly Attitude Proactive and jumps right in Our unit is a family and we have worked very hard to maintain a good culture Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. Scrub Color - Navy Blue with a stork symbol and pink badge . Travelers do not have to have “stork” embroidered, but Navy Blue scrubs are required.
