Business Analyst I

to support our DHS team in Washington, DC (currently remote due to COVID).

Job Duties:

CyberData Technologies is looking to hire a Business Analyst I to provide functional requirements gathering and resolution for our client in Washington, D.C.

Job Requirements:

Active DHS Public Trust Provide expertise in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts and in translating business process needs into technical requirements. Provide expertise in change management and training support. Provide organizational and strategic planning for a wide variety of technical and functional environments. Provide expertise in, but not limited to, Configuration Management, Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management, Business Analysis, and Technical Analysis. Gather, analyze, document, and validate the needs of all project stakeholders. Document and translate business requirements into agile development methodology formats (e.g. user stories, epics, and tasks) to support technical and development teams using requirements tools and tracking (e.g. JIRA). Develop user stories, including facilitation, prioritization, and negotiation with business sponsors, stakeholders, project sponsors, product owners, and development teams. Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) workshops with business stakeholders. Assist the Government Program/Project Manager and Product Owner in clarifying the requirements, deliverables, schedule, and milestones for the various program/project components. Create and maintain requirements documentation, including business process flows, functional specifications, use cases, test plans, and supplementary specifications. Manage all aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, and configuration documentation. Support the change management of business requirements and impact analysis. Lead the validation of requirements to ensure they are complete, traceable, and testable. Develop and manage data models using tools such as CA Erwin. Create and update data dictionaries. Elicit requirements from the business unit to include facilitating working sessions with various stakeholders and support teams. Analyze requirements to identify consequences and opportunities for efficiencies.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Must have eight (8) or more years of experience in an Enterprise IT environment and understanding ICE’s Enforcement process including rules, policies, regulations, and laws pertaining to the immigration lifecycle. Knowledge of immigration enforcement law, regulations, policy, and operations is desired.
