Business Analyst/Quality Assurance Analyst

to join our team in anticipation of an upcoming award.

US Citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and technical staff to collect, document and understand business requirements, create test cases, and facilitate reporting of test results. Develop User Stories and acceptance criteria based on the collected business requirements. Take initiative in recommending application enhancements and improvements. Participate in the quality assurance process including application testing to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized to meet stakeholder requirements. Schedule and coordinate user acceptance testing activities. Develop documentation to include user guides for the application as well as for new features and functionality. Develop training content for and provide user training sessions. Training sessions will be both one-on-one and classroom style. Ensure that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live. Develop and utilize standardized templates to accurately and concisely test requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst. Ability to act as a liaison between users and developers during the planning and testing phase of development. Ability to facilitate customer user acceptance testing (UAT). Have an understanding of the basic principles of system analysis and quality assurance. Experience testing requirements and looking for bugs in a technical solution. Experience working with iterative systems development life-cycle and documentation. Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity and a customer service-oriented personality. Attention to detail, clear communication, writing, and presentation skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experience developing user stories, test plans, cases and scripts and performing unit, integration, system, and regression software testing. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or CAPM. Experience working as a member of an Agile/Scrum software development team. Experience with eliciting and tracking functional and non-functional requirements for product configuration.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.

Internal title/grade: Business Analyst 5 Salary Range: $73,500 - $85,000
