As the Director of Business Development, you will spearhead the company's expansion efforts, focusing on identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. Your expertise will be crucial in advancing the company's market position and contributing to the clean energy transition.Key ResponsibilitiesLead acquisitions and divestitures of pre-construction projects, including contract negotiations and due diligence processesOriginate new offtake contracts, preparing and managing high-quality proposalsDevelop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company goalsIdentify and evaluate emerging market trends and opportunities in the renewable energy sectorBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry leadersCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and competitive proposal submissionsProvide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on business growth initiativesOversee the preparation of offering materials for asset sales and project financingLead and mentor the business development team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellenceQualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferredMinimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development within the renewable energy or power sectorProven track record in successful transaction management and contract negotiationsStrong background in financial modeling, particularly with renewable energy projectsDeep understanding of the clean energy market, including solar and battery storage technologiesProfessional QualitiesStrategic thinker with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsOutstanding leadership and team management abilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamAdaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving industry
