We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an HR Recruiter based in Garland, Texas. This role is within the mining industry, particularly in iron ore. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and selecting the right resources, working closely with hiring managers and HR professionals to understand staffing needs and ensuring a great candidate experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborating with hiring managers and HR professionals to understand job requirements and responsibilities.
• Utilizing various channels such as job boards, social media, and networking events to attract potential candidates.
• Conducting job analysis to determine the skills, qualifications, and experience needed for each position.
• Building and maintaining a network of potential candidates for future opportunities.
• Reviewing resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet the job requirements.
• Conducting initial phone or video interviews to assess candidate suitability.
• Scheduling and coordinating interviews with hiring managers and team members.
• Administering skills tests or assessments to evaluate candidates' technical and soft skills.
• Coordinating background and reference checks on potential candidates to comply with the clearance of candidates.
• Working with HR and hiring managers to extend job offers to selected candidates.
• Assisting in the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Generating reports on recruitment metrics and providing insights to improve the recruitment process.
• Using talent insights to analyze the market and competitors and assist hiring managers to make data-driven decisions.
• Continuously analyzing and improving the recruitment process and ways of working using digitalization and an agile mindset as enablers to achieve further efficiencies.• Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
• Experience with Careerbuilder and CRM systems
• Knowledge of About Time and Applicant Track System
• Ability to perform Background Checks and manage Benefit Functions
• Excellent Communication skills
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors HCM
• Spanish Language proficiency is a plus
• Experience in the Mining - Iron ore industry is preferred
• Prior experience as an HR Recruiter or similar role
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to interpret HR policies and procedures.
