ExemptPRIMARY FUNCTION:Oversees school-based program operations with a primary concern for program development and implementation, staff development, supervision of staff, and budget management. Directs the volunteer onboarding and orientation process for the entire organization. This position has a specific focus on grant writing and grant management.LeadershipOversee the operations, implementation, and delivery of all school-based Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady programs, ensuring high quality programming and activities.Maintain and continue to provide an ongoing partner relationship with School Districts.Provide leadership and direction to unit/program staff ensuring grant-related program goals are met.Lead, mentor, and inspire staff members, promoting a culture of high performance, accountability, and professional growth.Conduct regular performance evaluations of direct report staff, providing constructive feedback.Direct the volunteer onboarding and orientation process across the organization.Oversee the management of summer programs, as assigned.Strategic PlanningOversee the identification and evaluation of opportunities to improve school program effectiveness on the basis of participation and achievement of stated goals; recommend modifications to improve program performance, as appropriate.Uphold the organization’s mission, purpose, and values.Resource ManagementIdentify, research, and pursue grant opportunities aligned with organizational mission and strategic objectives.Develop compelling grant proposals, applications, and budgets to secure funding from foundations, corporations, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and government agencies.Maintain comprehensive understanding of grant guidelines, requirements and deadlines, ensuring compliance with grant reporting and documentation.Collaborate with unit/program managers and finance director to monitor and track grant expenditures, ensuring effective financial management and reporting.Partnership DevelopmentDevelop collaborative partnerships with other youth-serving organizations and community organizations.Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funders, regular communication updates, impact stories, and progress reports.Support Board Committees, as assigned.Marketing and Public RelationsParticipate in activities to maintain good public relations for Club programs, services, and activities.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:May assist in the administration of restricted programs by overseeing program operations at various locations; ensures the completion of required reports; and preparation of any required interagency reports.Work with staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments.Other duties as assigned.Some travel to trainings and other job sites is required.Lifting more than 45lbs may be required at times.SALARY RANGE:

$70,000-80,000RELATIONSHIPS:Internal:

Maintains close contact with staff to provide technical assistance in matters of programming and operations; interacts regularly with Executive Director, Area Director, Finance Director, and as assigned with the Board and its Committees.External:

Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, and others.SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.A minimum of five years work experience in non-profit agency operations management and supervision, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.A minimum of three years of experience in grant writing and grant management (can be combined with operations experience).Knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs, and of the principles and practices of non-profit organizations.Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, and coordinate operations; in personnel supervision, the recruitment and retention of key personnel; and budget management.Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club and School staff, direct reports, Board members, community groups, and other related agencies.
