Reporting to the SVP, Data Science, this position is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The Senior Data Science Analyst utilizes advanced data science methodologies and leads and mentors junior analysts while managing complex projects.

The position oversees the development and execution of advanced analytical models and machine learning algorithms. This role collaborates with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure data science and analytics initiatives are integrated with other business processes. Additionally, this position drives the implementation of innovative data solutions that enhance business operations and outcomes.

What you will do for Fay:

• Oversee the development and execution of advanced analytical models and machine learning algorithms
• Manage end-to-end data science projects, from hypothesis formulation through to model deployment and monitoring
• Provide high-level data-driven insights that inform strategic business decisions
• Ensure projects align with business objectives and deliver measurable value
• Ensure data integrity, model accuracy, and the ethical use of data in all project
• Mentor junior staff, fostering their professional growth in data science
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that data science and analytics initiatives are integrated with other business processes
• Champion innovation by proposing and implementing new data-driven solutions
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure that data science and analytics insights are understood and acted upon
• Implement best practices for data governance and compliance
• Maintain knowledge of current trends in data science, machine learning, and AI, and integrate these into our analytical framework
• Develop domain knowledge of Fay’s business to include an understanding of organizational objectives.
• Maintain broad influence through ongoing development of relationships across the organization
• Ensure compliance with Fay’s policies, processes, and practices. Successfully complete all department and company-required training
• Model Fay’s Values, Operating Principles, ethical standards, professionalism and code of conduct
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What you will bring to Fay:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field required
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in data science, analytics, or related field required
• 3+ years’ experience in a senior or leading role in data science, or a related field required
• Advanced working knowledge in analytics, statistics, machine learning, and data mining required
• Advanced working knowledge in relevant programming languages, tools, and technologies (e.g., Python, R, Hadoop, Spark, etc.) required
• Proficient in data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau) and database management (SQL, NoSQL)
• Certifications in data science or analytics preferred
• Experience in the financial services or mortgage industry prefer
• Strong leadership, project management and team building abilities
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities and propose solutions
