POSITION SUMMARY:

This position maintainsthe Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), verification of projectasset data and general clerical work as part of the Facilities ManagementAdministrative Services Group.It servesas a key liaison within the department and University community by creatinganalytical databases and ad hoc reports for others as needed.It works with Facilities Managementsupervisors to implement planned maintenance tasks, training for departmentemployees, provide supplemental data processing and coordinates assetverification from capital projects. These functions are essential for theoperation of the department and leads to additional responsibilities based oncompetence and proficiency.

DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves as a key liaisonwithin department and University community by creating analytical database andad hoc reports for others as needed. Works with Facilities Management supervisors to implement plannedmaintenance tasks and provide supplemental data processing.

Provide overall support toall Facilities Management supervisors by researching and answering a variety ofrequests associated with the CMMS, performs scheduled activities, recommendssolutions or alternate methods to meet requirements and assists with processimprovements.

Coordinates assetverification from capital projects and renovations with department design andconstruction group as well as maintenance and building service supervisors.

Provide training toFacilities Management staff as well as campus members on the CMMS system. Thismay also involve basic computer literacy skills training as needed.

Works with CTS to coordinateupgrade efforts, attends regular CTS committee meetings while sitting onvarious committees and approves CTS Service Level Agreement budget items forall CMMS hardware.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum qualifications:

Associate's degree froman accredited institution in IT, Business, Engineering or closely related fieldof study and 3-5 years of progressively responsible database administration work.

Preferredqualifications:

Bachelor's degree from anaccredited institution in IT, Business, Engineering or closely related field ofstudy.

Knowledge ofdata definition language, MS Access structure, and analytical experience withdatabases is preferred. Workingknowledge of joins, views, update and delete statements and their impact on thedatabase systems also preferred.

Alternately, thesuccessful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience andtraining, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required toperform the essential job functions. This includes, but is not limited to, thefollowing:

Continualincrease of Facilities Management knowledge is expected; maintaining awarenessof current technology trends in CMMS capabilities and using this knowledge toresearch and recommend CMMS add-ons and possible integration with existingBuilding Automation Systems.Participates in CMMS user group meetings and conferences.

Demonstratedknowledge of SQL, database structure and computer fundamentals including asolid understanding of MS Access, Excel, and Powerpoint combined with anability to relate to a variety of people with varying degrees of computerliteracy.

Excellent oraland written communication skills with the ability to establish and maintaineffective working relationships with students and their parents, administrativeand support staff throughout the University, various outside contacts (vendors)and the general public while demonstrating the benefits of the current programsto assure their understanding of the software.

Excellentpresentation, troubleshooting, attention to detail and problem solving skillswith strong customer service-orientation.

Completion ofthe Red Pathways Professional Development Program within first year ofemployment.
