We are looking for a strategic and passionate leader to join our team as the Vice President of Operations, who will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, maximizing clinic performance, and supporting franchise success.
Position Summary: The Vice President of Operations will oversee the entire operational infrastructure of The Joint Chiropractic's corporate-owned clinics and lead the field teams that support our franchise system. This executive will champion initiatives to optimize unit economics, enhance operational efficiency, and drive continuous innovation across the organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position is responsible for developing and executing strategies that foster outstanding clinic performance, elevate the experience for our patients and franchisees, and support long-term, sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Operational Leadership Develop and implement a cohesive operations strategy that drives efficiency, scalability, and profitability across both corporate and franchise operations. Establish and monitor KPIs focused on operational excellence, clinic performance, and franchisee satisfaction, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate closely with the executive team to align operational goals with the overall strategic direction of the company.
Operational Excellence and Efficiency Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall clinic efficiency and service quality. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality service across all clinics. Drive improvements in unit economics by optimizing resources, reducing waste, and maximizing productivity.
Field Leadership and Franchise Support Lead and develop a high-performing field leadership team that supports and empowers franchisees to achieve operational success and customer satisfaction. Ensure that franchisees receive effective training, operational guidance, and ongoing support to meet brand standards and business goals. Serve as a point of contact and advocate for franchisees, fostering a collaborative relationship between the corporate office and the franchise network.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement Champion innovation by identifying and implementing new tools, technologies, and strategies that enhance clinic operations and improve the patient experience. Conduct market and industry research to stay ahead of emerging trends and adopt new approaches that differentiate The Joint Chiropractic. Lead pilot programs and initiatives to test and roll out new operational improvements across both corporate and franchise clinics.
Team Development and Cross-Functional Collaboration Develop, mentor, and inspire a high-performing operations, training, and field leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Finance, HR, and IT, to ensure cross-functional alignment and seamless operations. Promote a patient-focused culture that prioritizes service, trust, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or similar) preferred. 10+ years of experience in multi-unit operations management, ideally within the healthcare, retail, or franchise sectors. Proven track record of overseeing large, dispersed teams and delivering results in a complex, multi-site environment. Strong understanding of franchise business models and unit economics. Demonstrated experience in driving operational improvements, standardizing processes, and implementing innovative solutions. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative team environment. Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance long-term vision with day-to-day operational demands.
