Job Objective:
Assists the Acquisitions and Divestitures Department with the technical work of the company’s exploitation and exploration projects.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Creates, updates, and prepares economic databases, primarily in ARIES.
Retrieves, downloads, and imports well production test and other data.
Creates preliminary economic forecasts.
Completes summary evaluation spreadsheets and various metric worksheets and graphs.
Build PowerPoint slides for asset evaluation presentations.
Coordinates special projects for reservoir, geological, and (A&D) staff.
Reviews and verifies accuracy of evaluation well data.
Adheres to the company’s values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
Supports company vision and mission.
Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
Ability to pull, understand, and filter basic LOS data for use in pro-forma economic modeling.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Minimum five (5) years oil and gas engineering tech work.
A&D investment banking or private equity experience preferred.
Ability to accurately solve problems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
Ability to integrate data from different sources into model reservoirs.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
Required: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and Outlook), ARIES, IHS Enerdeq, and Enverus Drilling Info/Prism.
Preferred: Spotfire or Power BI and public data retrieval (i.e. IHS, DI, and State Regulatory).
Education Requirements:
Required: Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent with some college course work in computer science and business.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in engineering.
