Program Manager – New Product Introduction

to work on-site at our Division HQ location in Alameda, CA. The Program Manager will work with cross-functional teams to plan, develop, and commercialize state of the art technologies supporting our patients and customers. The Program Manager will lead/manage programs of small to medium scope, or a significant subsection of a large program. They will provide leadership to a cross-functional team to develop and execute plans for commercialization of new products. Works cross-functionally with core team and functional managers to ensure that projects meet objectives and timelines. What You’ll Work On Lead cross-functional teams in the development of products from concept to launch; manages multiple, often concurrent projects/programs that are complex and require the management of intra- as well as inter-company elements and relationships. Responsible and accountable for all aspects of a particular program including the determination of product requirements, facilitation of program planning, tracking program costs and schedules, updates and other communications to the program team and other stakeholders, and ensuring that the delivered product meets the customer's expectations for quality and functionality, including support activities such as Scientific Advisory Board’s, Scientific workshops, etc. Analyze complex problems and identify areas of risk; mitigate program and execution risks through early risk assessments and implementation of mitigation strategies. Responsible for ensuring completion of documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with Business and Design Control standards: such as Business case, Design History Documentation, etc. Lead and act as a trusted advisor; balance bottom line objectives with long-term interests of the customer. Understand and comply with applicable policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum 7 years related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area. Comprehensive knowledge of a particular technological field. Uses in-depth knowledge of business unit functions and cross group dependencies/relationships. Is recognized as an expert in work group and across functions. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Has broad knowledge of various technical alternatives and their potential impact on the business. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree with science background. PMP Certification. Experience leading projects in a medical device, biomedical or other regulated industry. Previous experience managing development teams and/or programs in the medical device industry. Takes initiative, drives innovation and change. Proven ability to manage to plan and resolve issues. Effectively clarify issues and actions. Polished communicator- written documentation and oral presentations/discussions/meetings. Excellent reputation for building relationships across various levels of an organization.
