Manufacturing Production Planner Job at Tri-Starr Talent in San Antonio

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage MRP systems to ensure accurate, timely material procurement.
• Monitor inventory and forecast needs based on production and sales plans.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries and resolve supply chain issues.
• Process goods receipts in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and maintain accurate postings.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics to optimize material flow.
• Analyze inventory performance and implement improvements.
• Maintain accurate material records and ensure timely updates in inventory systems.
• Oversee outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
• Upload shipping documents via customer portals.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for material planning processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 5 years of proven experience as a Material or Production Planner in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of MRP systems and inventory management.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is preferred.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement.
