Location: S. Seattle - On-siteSalary Range: $70,000 - $83,000 DOE

Overview of the Payroll Specialist Role:
Process weekly payroll accurately, covering hours, wages, taxes, garnishments, paid leave, and compliance with prevailing wage requirements.
Maintain and update payroll records and employee data, ensuring compliance with certified payroll standards.
Reconcile payroll accounts, generate reports, and assist with benefits administration.
Handle payroll inquiries, ensure compliance with multi-state and provincial regulations, and support payroll audits and system upgrades.
Collaborate with HR to keep records accurate.
Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:
High school diploma or GED required; AA or AS in a related field is a plus.
2-5 years in payroll processing, including certified payroll.
Proficient in Excel and payroll software (Paycom, ADP, or Paylocity preferred);and strong knowledge of multi-state and Canada payroll laws.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle confidential information with excellent communication skills.
