About the Role
The Company is seeking a School Business Manager/Director of Human Resources to join their district leadership team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the mission and goals of the district, with a primary focus on the school budget and a range of operational areas including payroll, accounts payable, grants, facilities, food service, and transportation. Additionally, the role involves leading the human resources team in all aspects of employee management, from recruitment to retention, in alignment with the district's objectives. The position is designed to ensure that all operations are in compliance with district policies, as well as federal and state laws, and to address various administrative needs and processes. Applicants for this position at the company should ideally hold a Connecticut 085 Business Manager Certificate or a 092 Administration Certificate, with a preference for those with an advanced degree in a related field. Previous experience in an educational organization and advanced knowledge of state and federal employment laws are essential. The role also requires experience in working with labor unions, administering collective bargaining agreements, and handling various labor-related matters. A credential in Human Resources or Labor Relations from a national organization is a plus. The candidate will be expected to manage the assigned operations effectively, provide information to the Board, superintendent, staff, and the public, and ensure the highest standards of employee management to support the district's mission.
