The career opportunity:
The Vice President of Human Resources will ensure a highly engaged workforce which supports retention, advancement and high performance as well as creates meaningful experiences for all employees. This position serves as the strategic leader for all agency Human Resources needs and responsibilities. The VP of HR will work with the Senior Leadership Council to organize, direct, and lead the personnel and work process of Hopelink's HR and their scope of responsibility encompasses all settings of the organization. Responsible for defining and leading Hopelink's "people systems" to ensure overall organization effectiveness, long-term viability, and a positive work environment for our employees in achieving the agency strategic plan and initiatives. This is an engaged, hands-on leadership role managing oversight for the day-to-day HR needs of the organization while leading the key employee engagement and HR visions for the organization. Serves as a strategic partner on the Senior Leadership Council and actively contributes to the vision, mission, and values of Hopelink.

What qualities we are looking for:
- Minimum of ten years of progressive HR and managerial experience.
- Experienced in employee engagement with a proven ability to create and influence a positive employee culture using an employee centric approach.
- Relevant Professional Human Resources Certification, SPHR, PHR, GHR, etc.
- Solid HR Generalist background with broad knowledge of all areas of HR.
- Strong management and conflict resolution skills, detail oriented, flexible, able to prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional interpersonal skills; team oriented.
- Strong leadership and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to interpret complex policies, and laws including PFML, FMLA, ADA, etc.
- Outstanding working knowledge of current Federal, State and local laws as related to employment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, database management programs, and analytics and reporting; ADP HR system experience is helpful.
- Strong commitment to customer service and Hopelink's mission.
- Must be highly organized and be able to multi-task.
- Able and willing to travel to multiple local sites.

- Develop and nurture relationships across the organization which influence and support the culture developed by all employees.

- Demonstrate problem solving, leadership, conflict management, and team building skills.
- Lead Human Resources staff to provide consultative services and serve as a primary contact and principal resource regarding human resources issues.
- Innovate and direct employee recruitment and retention strategies which fit the current market, trends and needs of high performing employees.
- Evaluate organizational practices for compliance with laws, rules and policies.
- In conjunction with COO and CFO, oversee and review employee benefits programs including medical, dental, 401(k) plans, etc. for legal compliance, cost efficiency, and competitiveness to market.
- Provide information to employees regarding complaint resolution options. Provide guidance to managers and supervisors responding to employee concerns; conduct investigations to find resolution.
- Manage and produce annual budget for HR and monitor monthly expenses to stay within assigned budget.
- Provide consultative advice and educate managers and supervisors regarding performance management and coaching practices.
- Review market data and trends related to compensation programs and recommend policies and practices.
- Report to and work closely with the COO on overall agency Human Resources and programs, policies, processes, and projects.
How you will be compensated: Hopelink is proud to provide meaningful paid time away from work and an affordable, comprehensive benefits package.
- Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000 annually DOE
- Up to 10 paid vacation and sick days annually and 10 paid holidays,
- Plus up to 7 paid float days available to use immediately; dependent on hire date and hours/week
