Award-winning architecture firm located in San Diego, California, is seeking a Practice Director to join their team of Architects and Designers.

Architecture + Interiors Studio is a passionate team of 40 creatives (and growing) with offices in Los Angeles and San Diego. They are hiring for their San Diego location. The studio is seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Director with a background in senior management and over 15 years of experience in healthcare architecture, particularly on projects under HCAI (OSHPD) jurisdiction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects or studios and overseeing various departments or functions.

Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience managing healthcare projects.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering OSHPD facilities.
  • Familiarity with Design-Build delivery is a plus.
  • Strong ability to maintain and grow client relationships, both with existing and new clients.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Expertise in managing specialized healthcare projects while enhancing team experience and adhering to the client's budget.
  • Collaborative work style, able to coordinate effectively with clients, project consultants, and governing agencies, including HCAI, to develop comprehensive construction documents and specifications.
  • Ability to integrate technical knowledge and ensure code compliance into coordinated drawings for permitting, bidding, and construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of care environments, including medical planning and equipment coordination.
  • Experience in mentoring junior staff in AutoCAD, Revit, and HCAI standards.
  • Proven ability to manage and organize teams across multiple projects.
  • Must be a licensed architect in California.
