Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise and hands-on support in a broad range of HR functions for a multi-site region across Nova Scotia, including:
    • Employee Engagement
    • Performance management and Talent Management
    • Training and development
    • Diversity and Inclusion
    • Health and wellness
  • Participate in Human Resources & Safety projects and initiatives including policy development and process improvement
  • Assist site leadership teams with the onboarding of successful candidates
  • Oversee investigations within assigned region
  • Communicate and support implementation of corporate initiatives to assigned client groups.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Team to ensure talent acquisition strategies are developed, implemented and effective at maintaining employees.
  • Partner with terminal managers to focus on talent management, coaching, development.


Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma with a Human Resources focus
  • 5+ years' work experience in a Human Resources role
  • Professional demeanor and confidentiality are a must
  • Experience coaching and influencing across all levels of leadership
  • Ability to multitask while remaining flexible and managing shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated problem solving, judgment and decision-making ability
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience in a Federally regulated business is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to handle ambiguity.
  • Ability to travel 25%
