Job Description:
Responsibilities
Camper Supervision (60%)
Previous experience working with children in a camp, school, or day care setting - preferably with children age 6-12. Previous extra-curricular involvement with youth programs
Additional Job Description:
Due to the nature of this position and/or position responsibilities this position shall be subject to drug/alcohol testing in accordance with University Policy Statement 67.
Due to the position's physical requirements, a pre-employment physical examination will be required per FASOP: HR-04
This position and/or position's responsibilities require work directly with minors. Finger printing and National Sex Offender Registry check required per FASOP HR-04

Job Description:
Responsibilities
Camper Supervision (60%)
- Ensure a safe & inclusive environment for all campers at all times
- Model appropriate behavior through enthusiastic encouragement
- Clearly articulate rules & expectations to campers and enforce these consistently
- Adhere to UREC Policies & Procedures regarding Facility Access & Chain of Custody
- Demonstrate sound judgement in a frequently independent setting
- Interact with other staff in an appropriate manner at all times
- Work cooperatively with camp staff & all other UREC staff,
- Regularly communicate camper issues with lead counselors
- Provide a nurturing environment for all campers throughout all activities
- Follow UREC guidelines on camper confidentiality, Code Adam procedures, etc.
- Comply with Louisiana Mandated Reporter laws & regulations
- All other duties as assigned as it relates to the experience of the position.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
