Finance Manager

LHH is currently seeking a Finance Manager in NYC with at least 5 years of not-for-profit to oversee the organization's accounting, finance, and reporting activities. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, this role manages the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, while contributing to strategic financial planning and analysis. This role is 4 days in the office and is a standalone role.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director to enhance financial systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including cash flow, activities, and position statements.
- Coordinate the annual audit process and implement auditor recommendations.
- Oversee general ledger maintenance, journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and revenue coding.
- Support budgeting, long-term financial planning, and performance monitoring.
- Provide grants administration, including tracking, reporting, and compliance.
- Facilitate monthly bank reconciliations and budget data entry in QuickBooks.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, agreements, and restricted fund allocations.
- Handle ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of financial experience, with nonprofit experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and financial modeling expertise.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and financial systems.
Pay Details: $95,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year
