Job Summary
As the Administrative Assistant you will provide advance planning, relevant background information and material for upcoming projects, reports, and other regular activities of the office. You will compose documentation often highly confidential, and assist as onboarding Coordinator for various areas Administrative Operations. This position will serve as the main contact for calls made to the department. You will coordinate and prepare travel arrangements for staff, reconcile departmental credit cards monthly, serve as an overall resource for the entire department, and order supplies as needed, coordinate client luncheons and special events. You will also assist with office/front desk reception coverage and back up for building operations. In this role you will manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with the organizations policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience Required:
- High School Degree or High School Equivalency (HSE)
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clerical or administrative support role
- Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Computer and related software skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.
- Typing, drafting, filing, data entry, proofreading and editing skills
- Ability to:
- handle frequent interruptions, balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
- identify routine problems and implement or recommend solutions
- Purdue University will not sponsor employment authorization for this position

- FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible for Overtime)
