Conduct and/or review balance sheet reconciliations as needed. Prepare and/or review various reports and analyses related to accounting, forecasting, cash management, and other financial activities. Oversee cash and liquidity management activities, ensuring effective tracking and reporting of financial risk and debt positions. Maintain cash flow forecasts and variance analysis, collaborating with other departments to gather ongoing insights. Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees and compliance with relevant regulations. Manage employee benefit programs, such as retirement plans, including administration, audits, and reporting requirements. Contribute to organizational risk management through claims tracking, reporting, and collaboration on strategies to minimize risks and costs. Oversee insurance program management, coordinating with brokers on claims, renewals, and audits. Develop, enhance, and maintain policies and procedures for accounting, payroll, and cash management functions. Lead and mentor team members, fostering their growth and supporting their development. Ensure adherence to accepted accounting principles, regulatory standards, and internal controls. Identify and implement process improvements, recommending best practices and optimizing workflows. Provide support for audits, special projects, ad-hoc reports, system enhancements, and other initiatives as requested by leadership. Accounting Manager Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA or MBA preferred 5 years of professional experience Preferred experience in a tangible, inventory-centric industry, such as retail / manufacturing / distribution / CPG Proficiency in working with large ERP, expertise in Excel working with large, complex data sets is required Process improvement mentality needed Experience with database tools for analysis is a plus (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) Strong leadership skills a must At Taylor White, we specialize in Accounting & Finance roles in Tampa Bay.
