We are currently seeking a highly motivated ORAT Consultant II located in Los Angeles, CA .

Required Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Construction, Planning, or related fields; preferred with a concentration in training and development or related field.

Required Preferred Certifications/Licenses:

  • Applicable Professional Training & Development Certifications.

Project-Specific Requirements/Notes :

  • Develop Trials implementation plans for AOR projects.
  • Assist Project closeout administration from the training requirements standpoint, including coordination and assistance for final inspection, preparation of contractor deficiency and punch lists, and receipt of relevant training documents.
  • Supervise and coordinate the preparation of training syllabus; review training materials.
  • Prepare a final report summarizing the training programs developed and executed, training issues, and data on the training provided and the types of training. Include a section on lessons learned.
  • Become thoroughly familiar with required contractual obligations and technical aspects of all training to be performed.
  • Monitors, reviews, and comments on the overall training planning activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
  • Review and monitor the services of contractors and subcontractors ed to training program dependent resources to ensure all will be available at the appropriate me for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Assess progress and identify potential gaps in training. Be alert to possible additional needs and take preventative action to ensure that critical training milestones are met.
  • Prepare periodic reports summarizing the progress of training activities for LAWA executive management.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices for airport systems.
  • Possess technical skills in project management, aviation operations, training, documentation, communications, and/or operational or technology testing.

Responsibilities:

Position Overview

This is a critical position within the Airport Operational Readiness Program responsible for supporting the Familiarization, Induction and Training (FIT) & Operational Trials programs. Responsibilities include overseeing the planning, coordination, scheduling, and execution of the FIT and Trials programs for LAWA and stakeholder personnel for AOR-assigned projects. Future expectations for this role will be to become a Lead Trials Coordinator and Lead the Familiarization, Induction, and Training program across capital projects.

  • Assess the operational training needs of all stakeholders.
  • Develop a comprehensive and overall training program to match the stakeholder needs and ensure competency levels are achieved.
  • Develop internal training material to facilitate understanding of AOR processes further.
  • Develop orientation and familiarization training courses that cover generic facility spaces, functions and systems, and individual stakeholder requirements.
  • Review Design Builders/Contractors' proposed training plans, syllabuses, and instructional materials for all equipment and systems; manage training for Airport Operations, Facilities Maintenance personnel, service contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute Train-the-Trainer programs.
  • Manage and coordinate schedule and quality assurance for each training plan.
  • Maintain fluid communication of all progress and pain points needed to be addressed.
  • Develop with the design-builder the Training Quality measurement and post-training evaluation/assessment program.
  • Coordinate and review training activities with all pertinent and relevant stakeholder groups.
  • Coordinate and assist with filming training sessions and quality reviews of the classes.
  • Assist with developing, refining, and implementing the AOR Plan, including checklists, simulations, trials, and training programs.
  • Manage training program, including concept development, execution, feedback gathering, and resolution. Share findings with executive level leadership.
  • Manage and support trials lead with each capitals projects trial program, by creating trials list ensuring trials matrix, trials script and trials plan are developed.
  • Assist in the project close-out process.

Preferred skills and abilities:

Hardware/Software Knowledge : Citiri, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, Excel, Prolog, Outlook, Office 365, Salesforce, PeopleSoft , Service Now, BPMN, video training aides.

Salary:

  • $132,300 - $143,000

Bonus Pay:

A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at managements discretion.
