Purchasing Specialist Job Description
Who We Are & What We Do:
Design for Leisure (DFL) is a team of hydrothermal spa specialists working in partnership with owners, operators, architects, and designers to bring European-inspired hydrotherapy concepts to life. Our expertise in building best-in-class wet areas ranges from small but luxurious residential thermal suites with acclaimed hydrothermal circuits for 5-star hospitality projects and luxury commercial developments.
What We're Looking For:
DFL is looking for a Purchasing Specialist willing to work in a fast-paced, multinational company. This position will require experience managing procurement processes, identifying needs throughout departments, and maintaining supplier relationships. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to join a growing company in the unique wellness industry, has exemplary organizational and negotiation skills, with experience in supply chain management or related industries.
What Your Day Looks Like:
Managing the procurement of materials and equipment for construction projects. Take responsibility of development and management of processes. Maintaining and developing relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiating contracts and pricing to secure the best terms for the company. Tracking inventory levels and forecasting future needs to ensure continuous project support. Collaborating across teams to identify and meet needs for departments. Identify and research potential suppliers, evaluate capabilities, and select suppliers for projects. Understand and evaluate the best price, quality, reliability, and delivery times for suppliers. Assisting with the development and creation of standard processes for this department. Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Ensure goods and services received meet the organization's quality standards, communicate with suppliers to resolve quality issues. Required Skills:
Relevant and proven experience with purchasing process and cost management in construction or related field. Proficiency in managing procurement processes in construction or related field. Strong organizational skills to handle multiple shipments and inventory management. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts and pricing. Effective communication skills for maintaining supplier relationships and collaborating with internal teams. Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software. Strong problem-solving skills to address any purchasing & logistics issues promptly.
