*** THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE TO BE HYBRID REMOTE***
This position is in the Federal Financial Reporting Branch of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Office of Controller located on the Dorothea Dix Park. This position serves as the grant accountant within the DHHS Office of Controller for the Division of Social Services, with primary responsibility for all federal grant accounting activities. Extensive federal grant responsibilities include drawing Federal funds, Federal expenditure reporting, various grant analyses and reconciliations. The expenditure reports are required by the Federal government and must be completed in order to continue to receive funding and avoid penalties. The accounting for and reporting of the federal grants are completed in accordance with the Office of State Controller (OSC), Office of State Budget and Management (OSBM), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and other federal regulatory agencies. Other responsibilities include assisting with the year-end Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and the preparation of the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Assistance (SEFA). This position must interpret and implement Federal regulations. This position will have heavy interaction with other sections of the Office of the Controller, Division Budget Officers, and with representatives of Federal Governmental Agencies.
