Description of Work
Position involves direct supervision of social workers who are responsible for children including foster care, adoption, permanency planning, family reunification, LINKS, youth aging out of care, foster home recruitment, training, licensing and crisis counseling. Duties include but are not limited to coordination of workflow, case assignment, identifying and implementing training needs, ensuring quality of work performance, ensuring proper program implementation and compliance. Position requires the responsibility for fiscal management of program funding. Position provides supervision to Foster Care and Adoptions workers, transportation social worker, LINKS social worker, administrative staff, and Quality Assurance staff. Position also ensures program compliance and Continuous Quality Control to the LINKS/Independent Living Services for teens. Position requires the ability to lead and motivate others, to evaluate and implement innovative initiatives. Requires the ability to work effectively in a teamwork setting and maintain a cooperative and effective working relationship with team members, agency leaders and community professionals. Applicants must possess and be able to demonstrate minimum computer skills. Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation. Minimum Education and Experience
Master's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or a bachelor's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or a master's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or a bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of directly related experience; or a bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supplemental Information
PREFERENCES : Prefer applicants with an MSW and social work experience in a Department of Social Services (DSS); or a BSW with considerable social work experience in a DSS or a Human Services Related Masters Level Degree (with a substantial amount of social work course work) with experience in a DSS. Only those applicants meeting the specific requirements above will be considered for an interview.
