Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant General Manager to join our team at 501 on Main - a leading casual dining establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role is crucial in supporting the company in overseeing daily operations, ensuring that our establishment runs smoothly, and maintaining high standards of service and food quality.
This role is intended to be "fast tracked" to General Manager after working with our company through this upcoming Winter Season 2024/2025. The Assistant General Manager will also play a key role in staff training and development, fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the Director in daily operations and management of the restaurant through company policies and procedures.
Oversee team management, ensuring staff are well-trained and motivated to deliver excellent service.
Be proactive with regards to guest experiences and engagement with the Brand.
Manage budgeting processes, including cost control measures to maximize profitability.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the establishment.
Maintain high standards of food management and quality assurance.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any guest concerns or feedback promptly.
Coordinate catering services and special events as needed.
Support staff training initiatives to enhance skills and performance.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as necessary.
Qualifications
Proven experience in hospitality management, preferably within a quick service fast food restaurant environment.
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and inspire staff.
Experience in budgeting and financial management within a restaurant setting.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Knowledge of food management practices and catering services is preferred.
Ability to train staff effectively, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
A passion for the hospitality industry and commitment to maintaining high operational standards.
