Job Description
This role is part of the Chromatography & Spectrometry Division (CMD) and will be reporting to the Americas Commercial Finance Director.
The Sr. Financial Analyst will support a $0.6B+Region and is responsible for providing oversight and support for our fast-paced Americas sales teams. By leading activities such as forecasting, budgeting, pricing and close exercises, while leveraging analytics, reporting and presentation skills, you will help shape the commercial success of our business areas for finance leaders and the sales teams. You will develop robust skills as part of this fast-paced function by interacting with a broad number of internal business partners and building organizational capabilities to drive profitability & customer satisfaction. The work of this team is dynamic with high-visibility and impact to our diverse customers, providing you an exciting opportunity to gain valuable regional and global experiences and professional growth.

What will you do?
Complete annual and quarterly sales forecasts with minimal guidance from manager, and present forecast to business managers
Communicate risks and opportunities to expected results and recommend contingency plans to deliver on the financial commitments
Provide analytical support (proforma, margin analysis, category analysis) to drive business decisions. Understand drivers of profitability, challenge current business assumptions to formulate and recommend opportunities for financial improvements and participate in their implementation.
Reviewing monthly booking and identify the key factors driving variances to AOP and Forecast
Lead business partner activities with key operational team members, being effective on supporting their goals by understanding key drivers and providing business insights through detail analysis.
Support monthly and quarterly business review presentations; provide insight and support to the business units
Support monthly, quarterly and annual close activities
Support the sales compensation plan design and quota setting process for all members of the commercial team ranging from Sales Account Manager through Sales Director
Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis that support the strategic initiatives of the Americas sales organization
Proactively find opportunities for change, operational improvement, and system enhancements
How will you get here?
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, or, Economics
Experience
5+ years of strong analytical experience in financial planning and business analysis
Prior experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization
Proficient at understanding and proactively communicating the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong financial acuity, including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
Data management experience and the ability to manage large sets of data and accurate reports
Highly analytical and possess a strong business sense
Organized multitasker: you prioritize your workload, in a fast-paced, high-growth environment,
Strong team building skills working with a diverse group of people, even if geographically dispersed
Excellent communication and presentation skills to communicate analysis and recommendations in concise informative manner
Able to deliver high quality effective presentation to communicate complex topics
Excellent skills with MS Excel are required; Oracle, HFM/CMR, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) are preferred.
Self-motivated, higher level of flexibility and strong work ethic with the goal to get the job done
Continuous Improvement: Identify process and control gaps and champion improvement initiatives through Practical Process Improvement (PPI)
