Position Overview
Pantheon Data is seeking a
Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer
with a background in delivering high-quality software products and frameworks. This position will involve developing and maintaining automated and manual testing frameworks, identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating closely with developers, team leads, and other stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently. They will be responsible for reviewing technical specifications, analyzing system requirements, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality and functionality.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to verify system stability and usability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Team Leads, and stakeholders.
Identify, document, and track bugs and other quality concerns like bottlenecks and performance optimization.
Support process improvements and design/enhance QA workflows.
Maintain testing and production code repos, and oversee code reviews when applicable.
Mentor junior QA engineers and assist with knowledge sharing across the team.
Required Skills and Experience
3+ years professional, hands-on experience in a similar QA role.
Strong knowledge of quality assurance best practices, with experience developing and executing manual and automated test plans (Selenium, Postman, etc.)
Proficiency programming in Python.
Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub and/or GitLab.
Experience with API testing (REST APIs).
Experience with performance testing (JMeter, Locust).
Familiarity with CI/CD integration (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
Experience working with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized with a strong commitment to quality.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.
Preferred Skills and Experience
AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or Microsoft Azure. Certification(s) a plus.
Working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology.
Experience with project tasking tools, like JIRA/Confluence.
Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience in Docker, CI/CD automation.
Demonstrated ability to mentor junior developers.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
Experience working with ML algorithms and deployment a plus.

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
