Job Summary: If you are excited to be a part of a vertically integrated company that has a machine shop that utilizes cutting edge CNC capabilities that is among the most advanced in the country then our Machining Department is for you You will oversee individuals responsible for operating of multi axis milling machines, for mold making and part trimming. Job Role: Instil core values, culture, structure and discipline into a newly invested division of Fibreworks Composites under the guidance of the Machine Shop Operations Manager Oversee staff of CNC operators and shop help Training of new hire operators and other staff utilizing tools developed by the company Assist Machine Shop Operations Manager in tracking of work on machining floor Coordinate bonding of "glue ups" and raw materials for current and upcoming jobs Maintain/balance time and materials in ERP system for Assigned workers/machines Feed stock and tool inventory levels to Machining Department Operations Manager Responsible for adhering to company policies and procedures Continually view and suggest improvements to processes Daily monitoring of equipment for fit form and function and report anomalies to the Machine Shop Operations Manager Utilize CAM software to produce programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency while meeting GD&T requirements Utilize program verification and crash protection software to mitigate machine incidents Create, document and back-up programs for system maintenance Utilize drawings or CAD models to support program development Create and maintain set-up sheets and tool lists for projects as required Must adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policies People management in conjunction with Machine Shop Operations Manager Prioritize programming to scheduled demands Continually view and suggest improvements to processes Other duties as assigned What You Will Bring to the Team: High School/GED diploma or vocational school equivalent required 5 years of multi axis milling machining experience Mastercam or similar programming experience Understanding of the required discipline to machine patterns made of epoxy and composite part trimming Have excellent math and mechanical skills/aptitude The ability, desire and eye to do precision work Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to learn to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings Good computer skills (MS Office Suite) Exemplary attendance A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach Must be able to follow written instructions from Work Instruction Sheets Needs to have a strong appreciation of the importance of completing tasks on time Must be adaptable to a changing work environment and completing demands Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Must have valid drivers license and clean motor vehicle record What Fibreworks Will Bring to You: Medical benefits, dental, vision, long term disability and life insurance Matching 401k Discretionary quarterly bonuses based upon company performance $1000 sign on bonus offered exclusively to new hires, not applicable to rehires within 12 months Referral program Employee Verizon discount 80 hours PTO vacation, 40 hours PTO sick Job Type: Exempt, full time Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Combination of indoor and outdoor activities with varying conditions Requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, handling, stooping, kneeling, and crouching Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds May involve operating material handling equipment in a safe manner Work may include exposure to variable noise levels, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc., requiring personal protective equipment Some positions may require working with small parts/components, necessitating excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Fibreworks Composites is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
