Location : Houston TX or New York.
About Us :
Talisman has been retained by a leading developer and independent power producer (IPP) specializing in battery energy storage systems (BESS). Our client is seeking a Structured Finance Manager to join a growing team & pipeline of developments, following a recent capital injection from Private Equity.
Position Overview :
The Structured Finance Manager will lead efforts to design and execute financing solutions for large-scale energy storage projects. This individual will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to structure equity, debt, and hybrid financing arrangements, ensuring optimal outcomes for the company and its projects.
Key Responsibilities :
1.
Deal Structuring and Execution : Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of project financing, including debt, equity, and tax equity arrangements. Oversee transaction processes, including due diligence, financial modelling, and documentation. 2.
Capital Sourcing : Identify and engage potential lenders, investors, and financing partners. Develop and maintain relationships with banks, private equity firms, and institutional investors. 3.
Financial Modelling : Build and review complex financial models to evaluate project economics and financing structures. Analyse various financing scenarios to support decision-making. 4.
Collaboration and Coordination : Partner with project development, engineering, and legal teams to align financing strategies with project needs. Coordinate with external advisors, including financial, legal, and technical consultants. 5.
Market Analysis : Stay abreast of market trends, financing products, and regulatory developments in the energy storage and renewables sector. Provide insights to leadership on evolving market opportunities and risks. 6.
Reporting and Presentations : Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and investors. Report on transaction progress, risks, and key milestones. Qualifications : Education : Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred. Experience : 5+ years of experience in structured finance, project finance, or investment banking, within the energy or infrastructure sector. Proven track record of closing financing transactions for energy storage, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects. Skills : Strong financial modelling and quantitative analysis expertise. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills. Deep understanding of project finance, tax equity, and energy market dynamics. Attributes : Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
