Product Support Engineer
Job Description
Oversee the entire lifecycle of semiconductor tools, from design and manufacturing to installation and maintenance, ensuring they meet customer expectations.
Address issues and suggest design changes based on client feedback and requirements.
Manage shipments, verify specifications, and write reports on the tool’s lifecycle status.
Supervise installations and maintenance, acting as the primary point of contact for customers regarding the tool.
Provide guidance to engineering teams during the design phase of new products, focusing on key customer requirements, including preventive maintenance tasks, design for service, and manufacturability.
Lead the first build and testing of new products in the development lab, working closely with engineering teams to provide real-time feedback and recommend solutions.
Ensure designs and installations align with client specifications and expectations.
Oversee the shipping and on-site installation of tools at client locations.
Stay on-site for 2-6 weeks to ensure the tool operates smoothly and meets performance standards. Travel would be be around 30-40%
Work Environment: Onsight at Intel in Chandler AZ - Must live in Phoenix OR willing to relocate
Casual dress code, must be good with working with lots of different types of people - customer focused and professional
Day to day will look very different depending on the life cycle of the tool assigned. i.e.. report writing, working with design teams, working with install teams, spending time with client and solving issues.
travel could be up to 70% but usually is around 30-40%. International travel, mostly Asia right now, Taiwan mostly. Must be able to travel.
Hard Skills
Experience with semiconductor equipment (CVD, ALD, Epitaxy, Deposition, wet Etch, dry etch)
BS in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, chemical, technology)
Troubleshooting (during design phase as well as shipping and install process)
Experience working with schematics

Troubleshooting (during design phase as well as shipping and install process): proven exp. solving problems and understanding client needs. This could be adjusting designs of a tool with the design team, moving a pump for convenience of use. Install requirements/adjustments for ease or speed
