The Cannabis Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of cannabis inputs and related materials for Holistic Industries with focus in the Michigan, Maryland and Massachusetts markets. This role requires a deep understanding of the cannabis industry, supplier relations, inventory management, compliance regulations, and strategic purchasing practices. Dutiesinclude the following. Supplier Managment: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers of bulk biomass material from local, reliable cultivators. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, ensuring the best value while maintaining quality standards. Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and ensure suppliers meet delivery deadlines and quality expectations.

Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated on local, state, and federal cannabis laws and regulations to ensure all procurement activities comply with legal requirements. Ensure proper documentation for all cannabis-related purchases, including tracking of cannabis from source to sale, in accordance with regulations. Implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet safety and regulatory standards.

Cost Management: Monitor and control costs associated with procurement and supply chain activities to stay within budgetary constraints. Analyze pricing trends and market conditions to recommend strategies for cost-effective procurement. Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.

Logistics and Delivery: Coordinate the timely delivery of cannabis inputs and materials to maintain seamless operations. Work closely with logistics teams to ensure proper handling and transportation of products. Address any supply chain disruptions or delays to maintain business continuity.

Reporting and Analysis: Track and report on procurement activities, inventory levels, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives. Provide recommendations based on market analysis, supplier performance, and inventory trends. Other duties may be assigned.

General Regulations require that incumbent be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain medical marijuana work credentials

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or purchasing - preferably in the cannabis industry

Required Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of the cannabis industry, including regulations, sourcing practices, and market trends Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems Analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and make data-driven decisions Knowledge of compliance requirements related to cannabis products
