Our rapidly growing client in Orange County with multiple offices in the state of Texas is seeking an experienced Human Resources Consultant to join their team on an interim basis. The right person is available to work onsite 5 days per week and this potential has potential to convert after 6 months.
As an HR Manager Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping HR policies, practices, and systems. You will be responsible for managing HR operations, providing expert advice to leadership, and helping drive employee engagement and performance.
Compensation: Up to $70/HR W2

Scope: Responsible for managing the firms HRIS system, overseeing all payroll functions, including the preparation and processing of regular and special payrolls. Leads recruitment efforts, including conducting interviews, assessments, Culture Index surveys, and the selection of candidates, with a focus on filling support staff positions. Plans and facilitates the onboarding of new employees, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a positive work culture Manages employee benefits programs, including health, dental, and life insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and employee assistance programs. Oversees the annual benefits renewal process, makes recommendations to management, and ensures benefit packages are competitive through benchmarking. Analyzes compensation data to ensure competitive wage structures, and assists in salary program administration to promote fairness and compliance within the organization. Advises management and employees on equal employment opportunities, compensation, and benefits issues. Ensures firm policies are compliant with federal and state regulations, particularly in Texas and California. Manages the maintenance of legal records, including personnel files, I-9 documentation, and HIPAA-protected information, ensuring compliance with labor laws and reporting requirements. Monitors government regulations, such as EEOC, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA, and ensures the firm adheres to relevant employment laws. May be asked to develop and deliver presentations on HR policies and practices to senior management. Responds to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs, and conducts wage surveys to ensure competitive compensation. Manages relationships with external service providers, such as temporary staffing agencies, recruitment firms, and relocation services. Additionally, supports the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives, including non-profit projects and company events. Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline is required. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (such as PHR, PHR-Cal., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) are preferred. At least 7 years of progressive experience in human resources management, including a minimum of 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role. One to two years of experience in overseeing and managing payroll processes and preparation.
