They’re on a mission to push the boundaries of what’s possible and are looking for a talented Principal Mechanical Engineer with expertise in vibration analysis to join their team in Boston.Key Responsibilities:Lead vibration analysis and structural dynamics efforts for robotics systems, including identifying sources of vibration, quantifying dynamic responses, and developing strategies for vibration mitigation. Design and optimize mechanical components and assemblies to reduce noise and vibrations, ensuring maximum operational efficiency and longevity. Perform dynamic simulations and analysis to predict and solve potential vibration-related issues during product development. Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to integrate vibration control strategies into product design. Develop test plans, conduct experiments, and analyze test data to validate vibration-related design decisions. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field; Master’s or PhD preferred. At least 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong focus on vibration analysis, dynamics, and structural integrity in complex systems. Expertise in vibration analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar software). Experience with robotics or similar dynamic, high-precision systems is highly preferred. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex engineering projects. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to solve challenging mechanical issues.
