Supply Chain Director Position Overview:

The Supply Chain Director, reporting to the Vice President of Operations, is responsible for driving efficient, effective, and innovative supply chain processes. This leadership role encompasses S&OP oversight, long-term capacity planning, network optimization to enhance service levels, supply chain data analysis, and seamless integration of new product launches. The position collaborates closely with Operations, Product Development, and Finance to develop strategic capacity solutions and requires expertise in advanced supply chain methodologies, exceptional leadership, analytical abilities, and outstanding communication skills. Key Responsibilities : Uphold company values and deliver exceptional service in all interactions. Develop and implement strategic and tactical supply chain plans that align with the company's Customer Value Proposition. Lead all aspects of the supply chain, including planning, procurement, logistics, and distribution, in support of manufacturing and development operations. Establish and manage a standardized Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning process alongside demand and supply planning frameworks. Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure effective long-term capacity planning integrated with short-term demand solutions. Apply advanced modeling techniques to simulate scenarios and optimize capacity planning. Create and maintain key connection points between Supply Chain, R&D, Marketing, Finance, and Commercial teams. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, including standardized processes and practices. Develop and manage KPI dashboards to measure supply chain performance and inform improvement strategies. Oversee demand and supply planning, including budget management and execution. Optimize the manufacturing network to achieve cost efficiencies and maximize service levels. Refine inventory management processes to balance cost savings with service quality. Conduct in-depth data analysis to forecast future capacity needs, considering procurement strategies, seasonal trends, and market dynamics. Implement strategies to improve material flow, availability, and inventory targets for both make-to-stock and make-to-order models. Lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities to secure materials and finished goods at optimal cost, quality, and service levels. Partner with Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Finance to support new product development and commercialization efforts. Manage the RFP and negotiation processes, ensuring supplier relationships optimize total cost and align with business needs. Qualifications and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, including significant leadership roles. At least 7 years of experience leading Supply Chain or Business Development initiatives with a focus on growth-oriented strategies. Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, with proven decision-making capabilities. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams. Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems. Demonstrated success in designing and executing supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives. Preferred certifications: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, APICS. Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically.
