About this role:
This Product Manager role will be responsible for leading the U.S. commercial marketing strategic and tactical business plan for our coronary Cutting Balloon (part of our broader coronary calcium and lesion preparation portfolio). This person will partner collaboratively with sales, global marketing and other cross-functional teams to commercialize and drive penetration and growth in our cutting balloon. Priorities will include new product launches, end of life strategies, KOL engagement, cross portfolio product promotion and sales education.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage global commercialization efforts for cutting balloon portfolio, driving towards yearly revenue, operating income, and gross margin targets. Utilize multi-channel communication strategies and collaboration with sales leaders to meet revenue and market share goals and to ensure alignment across the CT business. Use classic marketing capabilities: market understanding, market segmentation, product positioning, message development, channel identification, tool and communication creation and execution to further business objectives. Own Cutting Balloon commercialization plans, tracking performance against objectives and plans, formulating new approaches and strategies as needed. Visit accounts and industry tradeshows in order to gain market insight and represent the company. Manage supply chain service cost and performance, including forecasting, setting performance targets, providing guidance on supply chain tradeoffs, consignment strategy/policy, and other cost reduction initiatives. Contribute toward the development and execution of an annual budget by developing promotional plans to meet franchise strategic objectives, forecasting future needs, working within budget guidelines/constraints. Serve as a clinical and business advisor to internal customers. Identify best practices to address key business challenges and opportunities. Develop recommendations on pricing and positioning strategies. Interact with key opinion leaders, with heavy focus on KOL management within key strategic accounts. Utilize KOL relationships to inform strategic direction of messaging, product development, etc. Manage various marketing activities in support of the Cutting Balloon business. Activities to include innovation center support, developing a comprehensive approach to support conversations with economic customers, creating new marketing materials, updating demo materials, visits accounts and industry tradeshows in order to gain market insight and represent the company.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree 5+ years of product management experience At least 3 years of experience within the medical device industry Clinical expertise in medical device product(s) or demonstrated ability to develop expertise. Ability to travel up to ~25% (i.e., approximately 2-4 domestic trips quarterly).
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced degree such as Masters or MBA Prior strategic planning or product commercial experience Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as an individual contributor and effectively in a team-based environment while managing multiple priorities.
